Dams are being removed on Buck Creek, and replaced with whitewater features. Let's hope this idea catches on in other places.

if you're interested in water gauges in tennessee, you should be aware of this thread on boater talk:

apparently the Tellico Gauge is at risk of being shut down:

there is more at risk than just the tellico, however, as the Tellico is used to coordinate many virtual gauges we use to boat many of the awesome creeks and rivers in eastern tennessee.

Classes will be held at the Over The Rhine Center from Oct 13 to Mon Dec 5.

“Special Topic" intersession classes Will be held on Mondays 5:30-10:00 pm Sep 8,15, & 0ct 6. The classes will be held on the Best Available Water most likely the 50 hole.$10/class
